The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect tomorrow, May 25, 2018. While this applies to organizations within the European Union and Kait’s Bookshelf is based out of the U.S., the website does get visitors from all over the world. Since the Kait’s Bookshelf blog and services are not exclusive to U.S. residents, I felt I should comply with the GDPR and post the Kait’s Bookshelf privacy policy in plain English. This way everyone understands exactly what happens when you like or comment on a post on Kait’s Bookshelf or sign up for notifications with your email address or WordPress account.

Writing Services:
If you are interested in connecting with me about writing services, then please feel free to email me at kait at kaitsbookshelf dot com. There is no form for you to complete or information to submit through the website, so you will just need to email me your name and details about your project or company. At that point, our correspondence will be subject to the Google privacy policy which can be viewed here.
Advertisements and Affiliate Links:
Kait’s Bookshelf may occasionally use affiliate and referral links to generate income from the website. These affiliate and referral links may appear as text links in blog posts, widgets, or banners on various posts and pages of the website. When you click one of these links, it will route you to another website, such as a bookseller’s website. Once you are routed to that website, your activity will be subject to that particular website’s privacy policy. Any purchases you make while on that website may result in commission being paid to Kait’s Bookshelf. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
That’s the Kait’s Bookshelf privacy policy in a nutshell. Please feel free to reach out to me at kait at kaitsbookshelf dot com should you have any questions about the privacy policy, the website in general, or about writing services.
