I am very excited to share the news of my first children’s book from Cavendish Square Publishing! The title is Property Rights, and it is part of a series that teaches Civic Values to grades 2-4. I am very proud to be a part of this project. I signed on for this series last year and it is so exciting to finally see the finished product!

Property RightsWhen I left my full-time job in 2014 to pursue a degree in writing, I had hopes of writing full time. I have always loved reading and books, and it is a complete thrill to have my work published. I am passionate about education and getting kids excited about reading and learning. I am so grateful for the opportunities that Cavendish Square has sent my way and so appreciative to everyone who has supported and encouraged me on this journey.

Cavendish Square is an educational publisher with nonfiction series and early reader titles available for grades as early as kindergarten all the way through college. My book is part of a series titled Civic Values and includes the following titles:

Property Rights4

Due Process
Equality Under the Law
Honesty in Government and Society
Justice in Our Society
Majority Rule and Minority Rights
Property Rights
Respect for Rules and Laws
Respecting Opposing Viewpoints

Property Rights is available for order through Amazon or the Cavendish Square website. Or, if you are a teacher or librarian and would like to inquire about books for your classroom or library, you may visit the Cavendish Square website to purchase a set online.

I have more book projects in the works, both nonfiction with Cavendish Square and some fiction projects elsewhere. I can’t wait to share those with you in the future!

As always, happy reading!  – Kait

A few years ago, I made the decision to go back to school, and at the age of thirty-five, I received my B.A. in Writing (better late than never!). I am now pursuing a career in the field I am most passionate about. I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I am a freelance writer, a published author, a freelance editor, and a book reviewer.
